Light wall, fabric lightbox or illuminated picture at home
A light wall is picture and lamp in one. It hangs on the wall like a large photo, except that it gives off light itself.
Light that comes from the picture
A framed picture needs a lamp in front of it, otherwise you cannot see it in the evening. An illuminated picture does not. The light sits in the surface itself, and the image glows evenly across the whole width, without the hard spot that a spotlight casts. The surface is completely matt and does not cause glare.
With backlighting, the panel can be dimmed continuously. In the morning it is a bright light source and in the evening a calm background, and the room looks different each time without you touching a piece of furniture. This is not possible with edge-lit panels, which glow at a fixed brightness; you choose which of the two in the configurator.
Living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom
In the living room, a light wall replaces the picture wall and the standard lamp beside it. In the bedroom it runs on a low setting as a soft base light. In the kitchen, the backlit fabric surface tolerates grease and steam from the cooker. It does the most in rooms that get little light of their own: interior hallways, stairwells, a room with a single small window.
A bathroom, guest toilet, relaxation room, sauna area and a home gym are possible. The direct splash zone under the shower is not. All that matters is that you tell us about the damp room before production, because the version is then different.
Made to measure, right into the alcove
Every panel is built for the place it is meant for: a whole wall, half a wall, the piece between two cupboards or simply a wall picture in the size you want. From a narrow portrait panel in the hallway to a floor-to-ceiling panel behind the sofa, almost any format is possible, because each one is made individually for the order and not taken from stock.
You can hang it yourself; for a normal wall, two hands and ordinary tools are enough. If you would rather have it done for you, our mounting team can come too. The image stays interchangeable: fabric out, new fabric in, without tools and without anyone needing to touch the LED technology behind it.

Edge-lit or backlit
With edge-lighting, the LEDs sit in the aluminium profile and shine into the panel; the profile itself does not glow, and the panel cannot be dimmed. With backlighting, the LED modules sit on the inside of the rear wall and light the panel evenly, and this can be dimmed.

Bathroom, guest toilet, relaxation room and sauna area are possible, just not the splash zone under the shower.

Frequently asked questions about light walls for home
Size, mounting and light in the room.
View all questionsYou enter the dimensions freely in the configurator, and every surface is then made to them. There is no minimum size and no minimum order quantity. If you are unsure which size works in the room, we will settle that with you before the quote.
After the order and approval of the print files, production takes about two to four weeks. The exact time depends on the size and scope of the order.
On request, yes. Within a radius of around 300 kilometres of Münster we regularly do the mounting ourselves; across Germany and in the Netherlands, on request. If you prefer, you can also mount it yourself: this needs no tradesperson and no special tools.
No. The surface is matt and lights evenly rather than from points, so there is no glare.
Yes. The frame stays on the wall, and only a new fabric is made. You can reorder new images at any time, and one person can make the change without tools.
Every product has a two-year guarantee.
Not in the dimmable version: the backlighting can be turned down continuously, right down to off. The dimmer is ordered with it; without it, and with edge lighting, the surface only shines at full brightness. Tell us in your enquiry which room it is for, and we will sort that out with you.
